These folded cartons serve as the secondary packaging to the pots within. Rather than concealing the primary packaging, these cartons have been designed using transparent PET ( polyethylene terephthalate). The slick surface of the plastic complements the nature of the product, while the imagery and textual information relating to the product is printed in black ink on each side of the carton. The photographic imagery appears as a continuous band around three sides of the carton, providing an unmistakable brand identity.
Transparent plastic has a very different finish to carton board, which could have been used instead, but the printing effects on a ransparent surface and the ability to view the primary package inside help create a distinctive brand appearance
